What is the difference between the different Sports Mindset Coaches?

All of our coaches have completed the Pure Sports Mindset training, capable of teaching the basic principles of the program to younger athletes. At lower levels of competition, they focus on managing fear of trying new things on the court/field, they introduce the basic skills to develop the mental side of the game and they help develop a growth mindset in athletes to get them to where they want to go.
We also have coaches with advanced training and skills to work with elite athletes that already have a basic understanding of what mindset means, they refine skills in breathing, visualization, feedback loop, mindfulness and communication, they investigate performance blocks, they analyze film, they challenge negative thought patterns that get in the way of performance flow, they work with the athlete to get them to highest level they desire to go.

Can coaching sessions be conducted in person or remotely?

Athletes schedules are extremely busy so we have found that virtual sessions work the best for the time management. At this time, we do not offer in-person sessions.

What is the duration of each coaching session and length of the overall program?

Every athletes is different. The first 1-3 sessions focus on investigation of the problem or desired outcome, skill development and a plan. That is enough for some athletes to run with and apply. Other athletes use sessions as an accountability check and a space for continued growth on the mental aspect of the game and therefore work with their individual coach for an entire season or year.

What if I need support in-between sessions?

Sessions are typically spaced a couple weeks apart so that the athlete can try out the skills and report back. In between sessions coaches are available via text or email to answer questions, provide support and to encourage practice.
